Big Blizzard on the way to NYC, Toy Fair

Oh boy, a big storm is on the way to New York City just days before Toy Fair! Well, it’s a blizzard blanketing the entire Eastern Seaboard to be a little more accurate. Check this out:

Looks like it will all clear out by the time the show begins, but traveling in may be a circus.
This begs the question, is Toy Fair destined for a warmer home in coming years, say Orlando or Las Vegas? Let us know your thoughts on if you think that would be a wise move. Would it help boost retailer traffic? Would a Toy Fair outside of New York have the same gusto?

WTHRA show is moving to Long Beach!

The annual Western Toy and Hobby Retailers Association show is moving to Long Beach! OK, so that’s old news for many in the toy biz, but it’s exciting none-the-less, as the 2010 show is approaching fast. The show runs March 27th through March 30th and the new location should be a breath of fresh air for retailers and vendors. It’s on the Queen Mary:

As usual, Toyology will have all of our lines on display and we will be very disappointed if you don’t come and play with us!

Toy Fair is around the corner!

Toy Fair 2010 is just days away from taking over New York City and we’ll be there! This is always an exciting time of year as the multitudes of toy companies prepare to show off their latest and greatest inventions. There’s a palpable buzz that permeates the Javits Center and if you’ve never been, there really isn’t a great way to describe it – you need to experience it firsthand! What’s in store for this year…you’ll just have to stick around to find out.
